7 Essential Items to bring to your Podiatry Appointment
So, you’ve booked your first appointment at Complete Podiatry, great choice!
Now you might be wondering
“What do I need to bring with me?”
Being prepared for your first visit helps us make the most of your time and gives you the best possible start on your journey to an amazing life from the feet up.
Here’s a simple checklist to help you get ready.
1. Your Referral (If You Have One)
Most people don’t need a referral to see a Podiatrist. But if you have a:
- Chronic Disease Management (EPC) Plan
- DVA referral
- WorkCover or insurance claim
Please bring any referral paperwork or documents your GP or case manager has given you.
2. Your Private Health Insurance Card (If You Have One)
If you have a Private Health Care Card, bring it with you to your appointment.
If you're unsure if you are eligible to claim Podiatry services, please contact your private health provider.
3. Your Current Footwear
Bring the shoes you wear most often. This includes:
- Work shoes
- Trainers or gym shoes
- Footy boots or Netball shoes
- School shoes
Your shoes reveal a lot about the load on your feet and may help us diagnose your issue more accurately.
